Dr. William Straughn
Dr. Straughn has been in practice for over 25 years and specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of motor vehicle injuries (whiplash and other accident trauma) and sports injuries.
Dr. William Straughn attended Northeast Missouri State University, and then transferred to Logan College of Chiropractic where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. He then pursued his Doctorate training at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri, graduating as a doctor of chiropractic in 1998.
Dr. Straughn has been in practice for over 25 years and had his own private Chiropractic practice in Florissant Missouri for 18 years. More recently he has treated patients at The Joint Chiropractic in both St. Peters/Cottleville area and in Chesterfield.
Dr. Straughn specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of motor vehicle injuries (whiplash and other accident trauma) and sports injuries. He enjoys being able to help those who can’t necessarily help themselves recover from injuries. He is a golfer who recognizes the need to have good form and proper biomechanics to function optimally in golf as in any sport. He has treated patients of all ages with a goal of relieving their pain in order to return them to their life as quickly as possible.
Dr. Straughn has always wanted to be a doctor even as a young boy. While at Northeast Missouri State University he was introduced to Chiropractic by a mutual friend. After doing some research, he found that the philosophy of Chiropractic agreed with his personal beliefs on how health care should be delivered to his future patients. He was fascinated by the concept of helping patients without the need for drugs or surgery. He decided he wanted to pursue this career path to be able to help patients heal with just a little guidance.
Dr. Straughn lives with his wife Sheri of 25 years. He has 3 adult children with 2 grandson’s. He spends most of his free time with his oldest grandson Mace.
